Hyundai Creta iVT recalled in India

Hyundai has issued a recall for the iVT variants of the pre-facelift Creta in India. This update comes shortly a few days after the brand recalled the Verna sedan due to an error in the EOP controller.

Coming to the Creta, the iVT (also known as CVT) variants of the mid-size SUV, too, have been recalled due to a potential issue with the EOP controller. The company is currently reaching out to owners of the affected cars on an individual basis. We reached out to Hyundai

We reached out to Hyundai but they did not reveal neither the number of cars that have been affected due to the recall nor the manufacturing date under which the affected vehicles fall. That said, the inspection and rectification as a part of the recall, if any, will be carried out free of cost. Further, customers are requested to get in touch with their nearest authorised service station to check if their vehicle is affected by the recall. Last month, Kia too recalled over 4,000 units of the Seltos due to the same issue.
