Here’s How Fuel Efficient The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Sold In The UK Actually Is

Not long ago, Suzuki revealed the fourth-gen 2024 Swift, which has also made its way to other global markets. The latest-gen hatchback is set to go on sale from April 2024 in the United Kingdom. Earlier, we compared mileage figures of the Japan-spec 2024 Swift with the current model. In this report, we explain how fuel efficient the UK-spec 2024 Swift is, along with its performance figures.

But first, take a look at the engine specifications.

UK-spec Maruti Suzuki Swift Mileage Figures

The new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine gets a 12V mild-hybrid system, which technically aids in improving fuel efficiency. When paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, it achieves a fuel efficiency of 27.29 kmpl. Similarly, with a CVT transmission, the UK-spec 2024 Swift returns 25.55 kmpl. However, when equipped with the all-wheel drive system, which can be had with just the manual gearbox, the fuel economy reduces to 24.49 kmpl.

The additional AWD hardware also affects the performance numbers of the respective engine-transmission combinations, which you can check out in the next section.

Performance of UK-spec 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift

In terms of 0-100 kmph acceleration, the CVT-type automatic transmission outperforms the 5-speed manual transmission by more than half a second. Additionally, the top speed of the CVT automatic transmission reaches 170.5 kmph, while the 2WD 5-speed MT variant follows at 165.7 kmph, and the 4WD variant lags behind at 159.3 kmph.
