32 BMW iX EVs were just inducted into this company's fleet

India's first sustainable luxury ground transportation provider Leap has inducted 32 BMW iX EVs into its exclusive fleet. This is the largest single order of BMW iX for BMW India.

BMW Group India is the leader in the country's luxury passenger electric vehicle (EV) space, selling 1,474 units in 2023. Its electric car portfolio includes the BMW iX1, BMW i4, BMW iX, BMW i7, BMW i7 M70 and Mini 3-Door Cooper SE. All of them are completely built up (CBU) models.

The BMW iX was the largest-selling luxury electric car in India in 2023 at 694 units. It comes at a starting price of Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom).

The BMW iX gets the fifth-gen BMW eDrive technology, featuring an integrated drive unit within a single housing that is powered by two electric motors (one on each axle), single-speed transmission and power electronics. With a power output of 326hp, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 6.1 seconds. There are two high-voltage batteries, having a combined capacity of 76.6kWh. The BMW iX range is claimed to be up to 425km on a single full charge.

«The BMW iX, with its unmatched sales performance, solidifies its status as the leading electric luxury vehicle in India. This impressive achievement plays a crucial role in propelling BMW Group India to the forefront of the luxury electric vehicle segment. Today marks a significant milestone as we proudly deliver 32 BMW iX EVs to Leap for induction into their all-electric fleet. This delivery is not just a fulfilment of the largest single order of BMW iX vehicles for BMW India, but it symbolizes our shared commitment to sustainable mobility and luxury,» said Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India.

«As India's first luxury transport service dedicated to sustainability, Leap is setting a new standard in the industry. Embracing the BMW iX into our fleet is a milestone for Leap and a testament to our vision for a greener future. We are thrilled to offer our clients the ultimate in luxury electric mobility, and we believe that this addition will enhance their travel experience while contributing to environmental conservation,» said Robin Mann, Managing Director, Leap.
