Manchester Teenager Stabbed on bus in Rusholme’s Curry Mile

Teenage boy stabbed on 142 Magic Bus on Rusholme’s Curry Mile after ‘knifeman in balaclava’ leaves people terrified

Police were called to reports of a teenage boy being stabbed on a bus by a man in balaclava on a 142 Magic Bus.

The stabbing happened on Wilmslow Road, Manchester near the junction of Claremont Road, just after 4pm on Tuesday October 15.

Terrified passengers ran when the perpetrator got on the bus brandishing a knife. They were left shaken and their heart was racing.

While police officers raced to the scene, the knifeman jumped from the bus running in the direction of Fallowfield.

A Stagecoach Magic Bus was taped off while authorities blocked the road in both directions. It has not been confirmed whether any arrests have been made.

The incident is being treated as isolated and there is not believed to be any threat to the wider public.

The 17 year old boy was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening. Inquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
